Dickinsfield
Dickinsfield set a real estate theme as the first community to have executive style homes. It’s now popular for it’s smaller size and community feel, as well as its easy trail access and close proximity to the two Elementary Schools. Dickinsfield is a superb choice with great access uptown or downtown.

The second oil sand project was started in the mid-70s and Thickwood was established to accommodate the increasing population. As time went on, Thickwood became a mature neighborhood with large lots and trees. This large community is home to schools of all levels, grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping centers. This is a great location for those who seek trendy and modern homes, as well as legal basement suites. The overpass with direct access to Highway 63 is already up and running.

Wood Buffalo doesn’t shy away from providing its locals with loads of opportunities for outdoor activities. Here, you’ll have access to the golf course down the hill, direct trail access, as wells as a large playground with a popular spray park. There’s also a paved basketball court and soccer fields for sports enthusiasts.

Home to the local Vista Ridge ski, snowboarding and tubing hill, and large acre sized lots, it’s certainly a popular choice for those who love want the best of both worlds. While only a fifteen-minute commute from Fort McMurray, the small community enjoys estate living in the midst of the stunning forest landscape.

Prairie Creek
A real up and comer, Prairie Creek is poised to become the industrial hub of Fort McMurray! Location doesn’t get much better than this! Prairie Creek is just three kilometres south of Fort McMurray along Highway 63, and only 2.4 kilometres southwest of the Fort McMurray airport. Definitely a community worth checking out!

Anzac
A popular outdoor recreational area, Anzac sits on the sparkling western shore of Willow Lake and is located 45 kilometres southeast of Fort McMurray. Anzac is a small collection of acreages that edge the beautiful boreal forest. Within the hamlet of Anzac itself is an outdoor ice rink, a natural ice surface which draws residents and visitors of all ages. Anzac is definitely real beauty to look forward too once it’s rebuilt!
Fun Fact:
Anzac was named for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who surveyed the area during World War I for construction of the rail line to Waterways.

Grayling Terrace
Grayling Terrace’s few blocks is a desirable location for those who seek simple and quiet living. Located at the bottom of Abasand Hill and across from downtown, Grayling Terrace has quiet, tree lined lots, amazing views, and lots of wildlife along the creek. Offering the best of both worlds, Grayling Terrace has quick access to Hwy 63 and the benefit of being walking distance to downtown and Keyano College amidst the outdoorsy-life feel.
